24th edition of EuroBleach releases post event survey

The 24th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition took place in Hanover, Germany.
Exhibitors assessed the European sheet metalworking sector more favorably than two years ago. The show also saw a significant decrease in attendees from the Americas.
EuroBlech has shared the results of its post-show survey for its 2016 edition, demonstrating that the international sheet metalworking industry regarded it as highly successful. The event attracted a total of 60,636 visitors from 102 countries as well as 1,505 exhibitors from 41 countries.
Besides showing the success of the trade show, the survey is also said to reveal some industry trends on markets and the economic situation of the European sheet metal sector. Exhibitors assessed the economic situation of the sheet metalworking industry as much more favorable than in 2014. Almost 70 percent of the German exhibitors and some 40 percent of the exhibitors from outside Germany rated the current economic situation as positive—an increase by 6 and 5 percent, respectively, compared to the previous event.
According to the exhibitor survey, the main reasons for exhibiting were to attract new customers and approach new markets. When asked about key future markets, exhibitors referred to Germany, the United States, China, Russia and Poland.
Major increases in visitor numbers were registered from EU countries other than Germany (up 11 percent) and from Asia (up 46 percent). In contrast, visitor numbers from the Americas decreased by some 25 percent.
