UBM India announced the 7th edition of the Concrete Show India (CSI), the only expo in the country exclusively dedicated to the Construction and Infrastructure sector. Speaking on the announcement of the 7th edition of Concrete Show India, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India said, “Infrastructure is the backbone of a country’s economy and investing in infrastructure is vital and it has a long-lasting effect on other sectors like banking and power. In recent times there has been a significant push from the government in the infrastructure and housing sector as seen in the interim Budget 2019. From roadways, railways to airports and other smart-city initiatives, the last few years have witnessed a phenomenal growth in the sector, leading to world-class facilities coming up across the country. With mention of flagship schemes like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) amongst others, the government reiterated its continued thrust and commitment to these programs. However, except the housing sector where direct and indirect fiscal benefits are likely to lead to real growth, the interim budget did not delve much into direct or indirect increase in allocation or investments in other sectors.
