Dear Readers,

August edition of TFT is in your grasp, before I begin to compose my editorial, I should complement team TFT for reaching out to the web world & its online presence which has crossed twenty two lac hits. This edition consists of major national and international news related to exhibition and event industry and has a variety of Q & A’s with organizers as well as exhibitors.

As I mentioned earlier, We are living in Digital India and we need to focus more on new technologies as well as some related offline activities to promote our industry, Therefore in this Digital Talk with EXHIEVE.COM we presents 16 tips regarding preparation of preevent promotional material and use of social media with offline promotional material.

Let’s start with the important news in this edition. The ‘First Timers Aboard’ gets management of India’s Biggest Exhibition and Convention Space. South Korea’s eSANG Networks and Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) has been given charge of the management of the largest exhibition center in India. The Temporary Structure collapse at PM’s venue in Midnapore, and Informa completes acquisition of UBM. Another big convention centre with 10,000 sq. mt. space is all set to be opened at Hitex in Madhapur in the city in September this year. The Government of Maharashtra will constitute a panel to clear Tourism and MICE projects smoothly with a singlewindow clearance service and India has announced its participation in Dubai Expo 2020 and its pavilion will take a one-acre plot at the event venue. 34,960 trader’s visitors, primarily retailers, distributors and institutional buyers from 480 cities and towns across India attended HGH India 2018, 7th annual edition.

Introduction to The World of Exhibitions by Stephan Murtagh, the Exhibition Guy in his book titled “Before You Hit The Venue” gives insights on all aspects of Exhibition in an Exhibition. ‘Biosimilars Congress India 2018’ to be held in Hyderabad on August 23 & 24. CIDCO Exhibition and Convention Centre in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, will host the International Union of Food Science and Technology’s (IUFoST) 19th World Congress of Food Science and Technology, between October 23 and 27, 2018. Asia’s Largest Rubber Expo is to be held at Mumbai in January 2019.
