FIRST PHASE OF JAIPUR EXHIBITION & CONVENTION CENTRE TO BE READY BY OCTOBER, STONE MART TO MOVE TO THIS NEW VENUE

The first phase of Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), an ambitious real estate, commercial, convention and exhibition and entertainment destination, will be ready by October this year. Developed by a real estate consortium, Pink City Diligent Pvt. Ltd., in 42 acres of area at Sitapura in Jaipur, the first phase of the project will have one exhibition hall and one convention hall. Informing this Hari Mohan Dangayach, Chairman, Dangayach Group, and partner in the consortium said that while the exhibition hall will have a covered area of 1.10 lakh sqft., the convention hall will be of 30,000 sqft area. The project will have two exhibition halls with 1.10 lakh sqft area each on final completion, while the second exhibition shall be ready in the next 18 months, he informed.

The JECC development will also have two hotels, one five-star, and a four-star hotel with 250-key and 200-key, respectively. “We are building the exhibition and convention facilities with international benchmarks,” he said. When enquired about management of the convention and exhibition facilities, Dangayach said that they are negotiating with international brands including Accor.

Dangayach said that the first exhibition ‘Vastra’ is scheduled at the JECC on October 25, and international Stone Mart in December. “Jaipur has emerged as a major MICE and Wedding destination over the years,” he said. The consortium hopes to complete the entire development in five to six years time, with an approximate investment of Rs 1,000 cr.
