The October issue of TFT is in your grasp, the cover story discusses The Competition Appellate Tribunal (COMPAT) putting aside the INR 6.25
cr fine forced by CCI on ITPO. The case number 74 of 2012 held up by Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) against Ministry of Commerce GOI and others was distinctly trailed by the fraternity,however, no followup declaration or data is shared by IEIA post the new order of Competition Appellate Tribunal putting aside the CCI fine on eighth of September 2016. The new order by the Appellate Tribunal, if not contested or if not considered important by the association will have a dependable effect on the private segment show organisers, specially the organisers who truly pushed the association to go up against the monopolistic strategies of ITPO. The present issue of TFT covers , once more selective Q and A’s with Rajat Srivastava of EEPC, Naveen Gupta of FIP, Evelyn Warwick of Mack Brooks Exhibition and last however, not the least KVN Prasad the President of IEIA. There are different new mergers and partnership reported by the TFT and the shedule of tradeshows for October and November 2016. IEIA recently organised a roadshow and networking high-tea in Mumbai which was attended by the Executive Commitee and members from the Mumbai locale.
