TFT : What is your primary objective for organizing AP-TEC 2014 in India?
M. Dinesh : The objective is to create a platform for knowledge sharing, technology showcase, trading, business to business dialogues and updating the stakeholders with latest developments in the field of agricultural value chains.

TFT : What is the theme for AP-TEC 2014 in India?
M. Dinesh : The theme for AP-TEC 2014 is Technologies for Modern Agriculture.

TFT : Who are the target audience, and how would they benefit from participating in the event? How many delegates do you expect?
M. Dinesh : The target audience are the farmers. The benefit to the farmers, it will be a platform to discuss the Emerging Agricultural Trends & Technologies, Commercialization of Agriculture, Industry needs, Quality Regulations etc., to analyze the constraints in delivering quality food to the nation and prepare a road map for the sector’s growth. The Conference helps in gaining an insight into opportunities in different markets and how to access them. The expected delegates will be around 1000 and more than 30000 visitors for the Exhibition.

TFT : How was the response in the last edition of AP-TEC ?
M. Dinesh : First of its kind of event and hailed as the largest Agricultural Conference & Exhibition ever held in the Guntur District. With highest participation from the Industry in exhibition and visitors for the exhibition.

TFT : What are the highlights of AP-TEC 2014 in India?
M. Dinesh : Participation from the major farm Machinery companies with the latest technologies for the increasing the efficiency of the agriculture produce. Participation from the major Irrigation companies to showcase the best utilization of the minimal water resources to increase the yield. Participation from the organic producers of pesticides and crop inputs to minimize the effect of chemical pesticides and crop inputs. Inaugural of the AP-TEC 2014 Conference & Exhibition by the by Sri. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Honble Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the presence of Honble Minister for Agriculture, Government of Andhra Pradesh and key people of the state. More than 100 companies confirmed their participation at the Exhibition to showcase the best in Agricultural technologies. Special Pavilion on Farm Mechanisation Special session on Smart farming & Solutions to maximize Productivity in Agriculture at the Conference. Farmers Interactive Session with Speakers from NAARM, CRIDA, ICRISAT, ICAR INSTITUTES, ANGRAU and Industries.

M. Dinesh : Since, the event is based at a regional level, the expected foreign delegates will be normal.

M. Dinesh : There are more than 100 companies from India and we expect the membership grow in our future editions.

TFT : What are your expectations for AP-TEC 2014 in India?
M. Dinesh : To Serve as a pathfinder for the Agri Community and urge them to compete and capture the world market ensuring that farmers find a path to harvest the best in agriculture.
