In a dramatic turn of the events, the ‘Casual Performance License’ (for Organising Exhibitions in New Delhi) which was canceled by the Licensing Department of Delhi Police, and reported by TFT in a Breaking News has now been revoked by Delhi Police.
The show has been granted permission with additional safety protocols.
The reversal which came amid a huge disappointment in the organizing sector is being seen as a breather for the exhibition sector, however, the loss that the organisers exhibitors and all other stakeholders is yet to be estimated.
In a revised letter issued by Delhi Police’s License Department of which TFT has a copy, mentioned the reason of the reversal as the latest Delhi Disaster Management Authority’s order Number F/1(571)/DDMA Orders/Misc/Matters/21/363 dated 27th March 2021.
It is yet to see if AAHAR 2021 will also get similar breather as ITPO has already announced the postponement of one of Asia’s largest exhibition on Hospitality and Food to August 2021.
