Committed to the Industry, IELA announces postponement of Cape Town Congress and Partnering Event

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that IELA, the International Exhibition Logistics Association, announces the postponement of our 2020 Congress & Partnering Event in Cape Town this June.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly. Two primary reasons led us to take this decision at this point in time: Our Delegates’ Health and Safety and Our Commitment to Serving the Industry. As plenty of March and April show postponements will now be taking place in June and July, we will need to be on-site for our customers.

Together with our fantastic Hosts EF-GSM South Africa, LA Rouxnelle Logistics and Consulting and Katlego Global Logistics Pty Ltd, we are today making the best possible decision for the industry. We are so thankful for the support that has already been shown to us: Our venue Century City Conference Centre and our hotels in Cape Town will help us to move the reservations from 2020 to 2021.

#TOGETHERSTRONG has never felt more true, nor more important.

Our network will deliver the strength and support which our industry needs. We will keep spirits high, we will work even more closely together, focusing on rebuilding confidence in the industry we love, ensuring the quickest economic recovery possible.

The IELA team will also be working hard to deliver the strength, insight and contingency network our industry needs. We need to protect each other and to remind ourselves that we will continue with what we do and why we do it because this is what matters.

This is what makes the difference.

Once again, we thank you for your understanding. We are here to support you, our exhibitors and organisers, working together through these difficult times.
