Digital India Expo draws crowds

Digital India Exhibition for school and college students organised on Friday and Saturday by the Western Ghats International School at Ettimadai as part of Coimbatore Vizha had participants
from Indian Army, Rapid Action Force, airport, universities, engineering colleges and professional organisations.
The exhibition was inaugurated by G. Prakash Reddy, Airport Director of Coimbatore International Airport. Indian Army and Rapid Action Force displayed sophisticated weapons, vehicles and was demonstrated to the visitors. The highlighting demonstration was the flight simulator where visitors had the feeling of driving an aircraft lively. GAGAN, an exclusive satellite that would be launched by ISRO by for aviation was explained.
Live broadcasting of audio visual medium and the broadcasting technology was demonstrated with an exclusive outdoor broadcasting van by a satellite channel.
Departments of Geo Information System & Meteorology of Tamil Nadu Agri University, Departments of Mass Communication, Industrial Innovation Centre & Computer Science of Amrita University, Nano Technology of Bharathiar University demonstrated the technological advancements in their respective fields.
