The Maha Mumbai Expo launched with grandeur at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC, heralding the commencement of the Mumbai Festival 2024. Minister of Tourism, Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Girish Mahajan, and Anand Mahindra, Chairperson of the Mumbai Festival Advisory Committee, inaugurated the festival amidst cultural performances and rhythmic beats, setting the stage for an immersive experience.

Distinguished guests, including Minister of School Education and Marathi Language, Deepak Kesarkar, graced the ribbon-cutting ceremony, signifying the significance of the event.

Running from January 20 to 28 at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex, the Maha Mumbai Expo invites visitors to delve into Maharashtra’s art, heritage, and timeless traditions. Opening its doors from 4 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and from 1 pm to 10 pm on weekends, the expo promises a captivating journey into the cultural essence of Maharashtra. The Kreeda Experience Centre offers a nostalgic exploration of traditional games, echoing the cultural roots deeply embedded in Maharashtra.

Mahajan highlighted, “The Maha Mumbai Expo is a cornerstone of the Mumbai Festival, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry and diversity of Maharashtra. Immerse yourself in this extraordinary journey, embracing the vibrant essence of our state.”

Jayshree Bhoj, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, echoed the sentiment, stating, “The Expo encapsulates the multifaceted beauty of our city, seamlessly blending tradition and innovation. It provides a unique opportunity to capture the dynamic spirit and artistic heritage resonating with a global audience.”

The Expo boasts over 20 food stalls at ‘Taste of Mumbai’ by GTC, featuring Mumbai’s iconic street food delights. From renowned stalls like Bademiya to Sichuan Spice by Whitelight, attendees can savor a culinary journey through the city’s flavors. The Game Zone offers an array of virtual reality games, bumper cars, and traditional games like life-size Chaupar. Participants can engage in the Raffle Excitement and stand a chance to win prizes such as e-bikes, holiday packages, mobile phones, and laptops, adding excitement to the festive atmosphere.
