Indian Expo 2017 in Saudi Arabia to boost bilateral ties

The first large scale Indian Trade Exhibition in Saudi Arabia, Indian Expo 2017, will take place in Jeddah during October 22-24 this year. The indoor and outdoor venues of the convention centre of Hotel Hilton will witness India’s featured projects and products and services in the Kingdom. The event will be an eye opener to the impressive possession of goods and services manufactured in a country which is successfully driving to become world’s third largest economy by 2030.
Indian Expo 2017 will arrange special pavilions for networking receptions, one-to-one business matching for buyers, industry seminars and much more to derive maximum benefits in a more defined and meaningful manner. Indian Expo 2017 in Jeddah will offer unique opportunity to share Indian business ideas and expertise with Saudi businessmen. The event will also aim to help boost manufacturing and trading opportunities for Saudi Arabia, the largest business market in the Middle East.
Consul General of India, Mohd Noor Rahman Sheikh inaugurated the Media centre and launched the website of Indian Expo 2017.
In his speech, Consul General underlined the longstanding bonds of friendship between India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as pointed to the shared will of both nations to strengthen the existing multi-faceted cooperation. As strategic partners, Indo-Saudi friendship has improved tremendously during recent years. The bilateral investment between the two countries is growing steadily. Since mid-2000, a number of Indian firms have taken advantage of the new Saudi laws and established joint venture projects or wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Kingdom.
