IndusFood 2021: the first food exhibition post pandemic

With the support of the Department of Commerce, Government of India, Trade Promotion Council of India was able to successfully organise the 4th edition of Indusfood from March 20thto 21st, 2021, at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.

The B2B fair that took place with all safety protocols, was the first post pandemic Food and Beverage trade fair in India.

More than 800 buyers from 52 countries visited the 330+ exhibitors at Indusfood 2021.

Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, the Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) and Misitry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying inaugurated the Fair in the presence of DK Singh, the Development Commissioner, MSME Mohit Singla, the Founder Chairman TPCI, Vivek Agrwal, the Chairman F&B Committee TPCI and Abhishek Poddar, the Vice-Chairman of F&B Committee, TPCI.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi sent an official message to Shri Mohit Singla, with well wishes for IndusFood 2021, “The valued stakeholder from from food industry need to play a greater role – from providing farmers with technology and seeds to promotion of trade and export for larger good. ‘IndusFood’ 2021 provides an opportunity to link India’s immense potential in agri and food products in world demands. The fair will provide a viable platform to various national and international partners for mutual benefits.”

Other than national participation from four states of India, with participation of Industry & MSME Departments of the states of Odisha, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Jammu & Kashmir, IndusFood 2021 was also visited bybusiness delegations from EU, African countries, Gulf countries, UAE, Belarus, Nepal, Russia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and USA. Moreover, prominent supermarket chains visited as well. TPCI organised more than 20 B2B sessions during the event.
