Sumant Patel is no more, CIEO offers condolence

Sumant J. Patel, Chief Mentor of NESCO Limited born on 15thAugust 1935 died today in Mumbai.

Sumant Patel was born on 15thAugust 1935 and lived for over 86 years of healthy life.A mechanical engineer from the University of Pennsylvania, USA and a business graduate from the prestigious Wharton School, he returned to India in 1960 and successfully founded the engineering heavyweights – GMM and Indabrator. In the decades that followed, Sumant’s eye on the big picture emboldened teams to innovatively face challenges in each new sector. As the architect of Nesco’s diversification, he created a state-of-the-art IT Park with unique offerings.

His foresight established India’s largest exhibition venue in the private sector, also known as the BEC. His wisdom guides our growth at Nesco and leads the progress of the many charitable ventures he is passionate about.
