The Specialty Coffee Association announced that its largest European event, “World of Coffee”, has been canceled this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
Earlier this month they had announced that the fate of the 2021 show which was scheduled for June in Athens, Greece, was uncertain. The group also said that it is exploring alternate ways to carry out the 2021 World Coffee Championships.
An email letter sent to SCA members said the show is set to be return in 2023 in Athens post the 2022 event in Warsaw, Poland. Currently, the group is continuing to move forward with its largest United States gathering, the Specialty Coffee Expo, which scheduled to take place September this year in New Orleans.
