The 5th Edition of ZAK Aluminum Extrusions Expo will be held in Mumbai from 12th to 15th December 2013. TradeFairTimes spoke to Syed Ahad Ahmed, Director of ZAK Trade Fairs and Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. about the event.
TFT : What is the primary goal of yours to organise the Zak Aluminium Extrusions Expo 2013?
Syed Ahad Ahmed : The primary mission of the expo is to create awareness about the use of aluminium extrusions in various industries and promote more usage of aluminium extrusions. This is a very important industry sector that has a lot of growth prospects.
TFT : How do you think Zak Aluminium Extrusions Expo 2013 will benefit the exhibitors, sponsors and the industry?
Syed Ahad Ahmed : The ZAK Aluminium Extrusions Expo is the only exhibition dedicated on Aluminium extrusions in the country. So it is a good meeting place for people to network with their suppliers, customers, clients, etc.
Syed Ahad Ahmed : We expect around 12,000 – 15,000 visitors over the 4 days of the show.
TFT : What was the volume of business generated by the Zak Aluminium Extrusions Expo 2013 held in the month of Dec 2012?
Syed Ahad Ahmed : That is very difficult to say as nobody reveals their sales volumes generated. However, that a majority of the exhibitors come back to us again shows that the previous editions have been highly beneficial to the exhibitors.
TFT : Are there other countries participating at Zak Aluminium Extrusions Expo 2013 apart from India and if so can you please name them?
Syed Ahad Ahmed : Yes. We have around 9 countries namely Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Turkey, UAE, Spain, etc. For an event of this sector, this is a major attraction.
TFT : Is it an annual event or biannual event please explain about the frequency and the cities?
Syed Ahad Ahmed : This show is an Annual show being oraganised alternately in New Delhi & Mumbai. The shows are organised in the even years in New Delhi & odd years in Mumbai.
TFT : TFT : Is this exhibition targeted only for Indian market?
Syed Ahad Ahmed : No. We are targeting the full SAARC region for the show.
