Himani Gulati : LED expo was conceived out of the growing popularity of LEDs to answer all the questions related to the science, technology and application of LEDs and solid-state lighting. The first edition of LED expo held in January ’09 in New Delhi received commendable success and appreciation from the industry with an unprecedented turnout of visitor footfall.
The LED Expo comprises visitors from all walks of life including architects, automotive industry, building contractors, consultants, brand managers, CPWD, dealers & distributors, hospitality industry, government agencies & planning departments, trade councils, real estate companies, retail chain owners & many others exploring the use of LED for various applications be it domestic or commercial. The warm acceptance and high appreciation by the LED industry led us to conduct the successful editions year after year. The mega event is supported by various government ministries and departments like Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, ELCOMA & ELCINA. Till now, the show has witnessed 9 successful editions held across India & abroad.

Himani Gulati : We’ve concluded the 9th edition of LED expo that attracted over 250 major global brands of the LED industry including international companies like Everlight Electronics Co; Limited, Philips Lumileds, Nihon Garter Co. Ltd., Jona LED, Edison Opto Corporation, Dominant Opto Technologies, Andslite Pvt. Ltd. and many more. The expo hosted exhibitor participation from 14 countries & regions like India, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Russia, Germany, Italy, UK and USA.
TFT : What is the frequency of organizing LED Expo?
Himani Gulati : LED Expo is organized every year in Delhi, Mumbai and Thailand. Till now, overall 9 successful editions have been concluded in India including 3 editions in Mumbai. LED Expo debuted last year in Thailand and is all set for its 2nd edition in Thailand on 22-24th May, 2014 at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Centre.
TFT : What is the target of marketplace for LED Expo is it only India or foreign market as well?
Himani Gulati : Both. As mentioned earlier, LED Expo caters to the global LED industry encompassing all the LED segments like LED Applications & Lighting, LED Signage & Displays, LED Components/ Accessories & Raw Materials, LED Drivers & Power Supply, LED Manufacturing Equipment /Machinery & Allied Products. LED Expo host international participation from exhibitors & visitors alike and targets the national as well as international LED markets by building a platform for interaction, networking and business growth.
